In collaboration with the Village of Oak Park and Housing Forward, the Oak Park Homelessness Coalition has developed a winter emergency plan for 2023-2024. This plan includes an Emergency Warming Center at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, which will be open 24/7 when temperatures dip below 5 degrees or during extremely severe weather, as well as daytime warming centers at the Oak Park Library. These centers are intended to provide a warm refuge for people during extreme weather events.

Thanks to Housing Forward, Good Shepherd, Takeout 25, and Village of Oak Park for working with the Oak Park Homelessness Coalition.
