Oak Park Emergency Cooling Center Open Starting Wednesday, July 23

As temperatures rise, remember to drink plenty of water and stay as cool as you can. If you don’t have access to air conditioning, cooling centers are open throughout Oak Park and Cook County to help you stay safe.

A cooling center will be activated at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, located at 611 Randolph St., Oak Park, IL 60302, on Wednesday, July 23, and Thursday, July 24, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM each day. For more information, please visit the Village of Oak Park website.

The Oak Park Township Senior & Disability Services is a cooling center open to seniors aged 60+ from Oak Park and River Forest Townships! Senior residents requiring transportation to the Center may call (708) 383-8060 to schedule a ride. 130 S. Oak Park Avenue, Oak Park, IL 60302.
